Minimal or simple design?

Designers have use these two concepts interchangeably. However, designers, including people like Massimo Vignelli, Starck, Rand, Ive, Stone, have demonstrated that what we’re after is intuitive minimalism.

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away” said Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Such idea indicates that minimalism comes from paying attention to the use or intent. Products and designs who have not consider all elements will suffer from chronic complexity. Design will always be intentional, and as such should pay attention to details, consider the complexity of the processes and use and eliminate the complexity by intuitively leaving what is only necessary.
The difference between simplicity and minimalism, in my opinion is that simple is a feeling, minimal is the pragmatic application and methodology, in this case let’s consider applying minimal design.
